Special Events in my life
After graduating CGHS, I attended Vanderbilt University and received my BA
degree. I also received my law degree from Vanderbilt. After clerking for
the Tennessee Supreme Court, I was in corporate practice for a few years and
then went into private practice. In 1974, two of my law school classmates
and I formed our own firm, one of those now being a former U.S. Senator and
a current actor. I eventually merged my practice into a firm that came to
be known as Bone and Crawford. Approximately 18 years ago, I merged my practice
into my present firm, Gullett, Sanford, Robinson and Martin PLLC. I am currently
managing partner.
I was married to my wife Judy for 35 years. She died almost two years ago
after having lost her 23 year battle with breast cancer. We have two children.
Our daughter Ellen is a Presbyterian minister, is married and lives in NC.
They are expecting their first child. My son George III, is an attorney with
our firm, is married and has two children.
Like most people our age, we have spent our time helping to provide for the
family, working at our trade and trying to do worthwhile things in the Nashville
community.
I am looking forward to seeing some old friends and reconnecting with many
special folks who were so much a part of my life in that interesting and important
time.
