Lillian Eccles Nugent spent Hurricane Katrina in New Orleans. They
didn’t get out of the flooded house til Thursday when her son towed
her to high ground on a styrofoam float. After hanging out on the Bayou Bridge
she got helicoptered out to I-10. She spent the night on a cardboard box and
finally got out by bus on Friday with absolutely nothing but a shift and herself.
She is staying with an old friend who used to work for her. She needs
money and embarrassedly asked me to post this.
