Special Events in my life
Have been writing for a few years and getting back into oil painting. Here
is a sample of my poetry:
No Orphan I
No orphan I – who am birthed with the thunderings and quakes of mother
earth born to the music of the measured beat of all life
The sound that is heard, that is felt, that is carried to my mind and my soul,
that heralds all birth
Awaking me to the coming of wars within myself, and the struggle to release
my soul from all strife
Brought to breath by the holy winds of the father’s spirit
This newborn cry echoed like cymbals orchestrating its first sounds –
can you hear it?
My thirst of pain and mirth
My falls are cushioned by the grassy knolls and moss covered banks of my mother’s
girth
Abandoned nay-
For I heard him say-
Ye are
A child of the universe
